The Amazing Race is a reality television game show in which teams race around the world in competition with other teams. Contestants strive to arrive first at the end of each leg of the race to avoid the possibility of elimination. Teams are progressively eliminated until three teams are left; at that point, the team which arrives first in the final leg is awarded a large cash grand prize.

The Host of the Amazing Race

Philip John "Phil" Keoghan (; born May 31, 1967) is an Emmy Award-winning New Zealand-born television personality, best known for hosting the US version of The Amazing Race on CBS, since its 2001 debut.

He is also the creator and host of No Opportunity Wasted, which has been produced in the United States, on his native homeland - New Zealand, and - later in 2007 - in Canada for the CBC. He has won six Emmy Awards for his work.

It is the best reality show, bar none. Despite the debacle that was Season 6. My best friend and I applied to go on Season 9. That was almost as much fun as watching the show!
